Comments: Update as of 05/23/08 – My surgery on 05/13/08 was a success according to Dr. Kaufmann in Winnipeg (Canada). However the spasms did return after I was released the following day. Dr. Kaufmann told me that they might come back but they should go away within a few weeks or months. Headaches are starting to go away. No leaks,
no Bells Palsy, I just run out of breath very easy. My surgery was not as straight forward as most. It was near a main artery in the brain stem and he said he had to use more Teflon than other surgeries. My recovery is slow but it is progressing better each day.

I have had the twitching for approx.
4 years. No pain, but constant.
Very annoying when talking to someone.
Altogether 8 years now with facial spasms during sleep.
